Seriously this graph sums it all… But there is something I’ve issue with. I was exposed to film camera first, and when I got my first personal camera, a digital casio exilim, that was when I really became persistent and serious about photography. Of course when I got my DSLR, I got even more involved. However, it was those cheap film cameras (disposable or not) that set my foundations in photography.
Well, you can always argue what does a kid at 8 wielding a cheap camera know about photography? 14 years later, the kid answers: “Yes, I didn’t learn the skills all in one day but those cheap cameras got my first steps in the right direction”.
P.S.: I still reminisce of minolta’s magenta-hinted images sometimes in the night.
